Choice of translator or interpreter
Over the years, Hapax Vertalers put together a team of professional, motivated and committed colleagues that are excellently prepared for any challenge. The choice of a translator or interpreter is made on the basis of the language combination, the specific field of experise involved, the nature of the assignment and the native tongue principle. If several people are working on a project, then teams are formed that work together as a true unit. This increases efficiency and saves considerable time.
Approach
Based on consultation with the client and the nature and scope of the assignment, a specific approach to the work is chosen. This could involve aspects such as consulting sources, conducting research, making interim verifications and using translation tools. If preferred, we can also use support documentation provided by the client or special terminology. The building and management of terminology databases is also in good hands with us - it is a guarantee of consistency and continuity.
Checks
As a rule, an interpreting assignment is finished when the last word has been spoken. But a translation is always checked after being completed. The text is checked for accuracy of translation, for grammar and style, the terminology used and consistency. Next comes any required proofreading corrections, the authentication of signatures, etc.
All of this is done while bearing in mind who the intended reader of the text is, the target group. After all, the text must speak clearly to him or her in order to achieve its intended objective.
